Penang based Fashion brand Bran et Daguet, established two years ago by Malaysian designer Brandon Tan and his French partner Pascal Martin-Daguet, specialises in elegantly cut couture and ready-to-wear cocktail dresses and occasionwear with international appeal.
Figure flattering shapes, simple but clever cutting and high quality mostly European fabrics transform traditional shapes into sophisticated chic. Details such as beaded or feathered trims are the hallmark of the Spring 2010 Bran et Daguet ready-to-wear collection. Brandon’s list of loyal couture clients includes many Penang society ladies who love his pieces which are both dramatic but comfortable to wear. His clients include discerning Asian and International ladies whose age is less important than the fact that they need to feel good and look fantastic. His wearable dresses, blouses and pantsuits work effortlessly for daytime or evening while the combination of unique fabrics and simple but clever cutting mean that his evening dresses will guarantee attention. His recent ready-to-wear collection, presented in his Fashion Show “Don’t Judge Me” at the G Hotel featured 25 models wearing 40 outfits presented in a series of dramatic juxtapositions, using a palette of black, white, red and gold to create multiple visual tableaux.
